The high-end large-thickness quenched and tempered offshore steel API2YGr60 developed by HBIS Wugang has successfully passed the performance inspection of the 725th Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (hereinafter referred to as 725), Tianjin University and other units, with good indicators, reaching the leading level in the industry, filling the domestic gap.
In response to the special material requirements of a certain project in deep-sea construction, HBIS Wugang has been deeply connected with customers, designed quenched and tempered marine engineering steel API2YGr60 with a maximum thickness of 100 mm and a yield strength of 420 MPa. The CTOD (Crack Tip Displacement Test) test index of the material's brittle fracture resistance is extremely harsh.
In the process of development, HBIS Wugang organized a professional technical team to sort out technical terms and conduct research on the mechanism of internal factors affecting CTOD. Through scientific design and reasonable smelting, rolling, quenching, and tempering process design, And innovated the production process, overcome the industry problems such as the difficulty of the impact of the thickness of the various large thickness steel plates, and developed the high-end large thickness quenched and tempered marine steel.
API2YGr60 steel has excellent physical and chemical performance inspections, qualified welding qualification results, and good CTOD test results, especially the thickness center impact energy of the project has reached 3 to 4 times the requirements of the project, which is far better than the project requirements. Laboratory evaluation and on-site adaptability evaluation have fully met the project design requirements, and contributed to the promotion of the localization of steel for offshore engineering projects in my country.
