From November 25 to 27, the Rare Earth Terminology International Standards Conference and the 2020 National Rare Earth Standardization Technical Committee Annual Meeting was held in Zhangjiakou, Hebei. Leaders from the Department of Raw Materials of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Zhu Yuhua, Vice President of the Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals, Huang Xiaowei, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Xu Tao, Advisor to the National Rare Earth Standards Committee, Yao Nanhong, National Rare Earth Standards Committee, and Gao Lan, Secretary General of the National Rare Earth Standards Committee attended meeting.
The National Rare Earth Standardization Technical Committee officially issued two international standards for rare earth terminology "Rare Earth Terminology Part 1: Mineral Products and Compounds" and "Rare Earth Terminology Part 2: Metals and Alloys" customized by China. This is the first batch of rare earth international standards issued in the field of rare earths, marking my country's initial achievements in the internationalization of rare earth standards.
Promoting the development of international standards for rare earths is of great significance to improving the safety and core competitiveness of my country's rare earth industry and safeguarding the country's core interests and international influence.
