The overall customs clearance efficiency of China Customs has greatly improved

In December 2020, the overall customs clearance time for imports and exports across the country was 34.91 hours and 1.78 hours respectively, a year-on-year decrease of 1.82 hours and 0.95 hours, respectively, and a reduction of 64.2% and 85.5% respectively from 2017.

On the premise of respecting the independent choice of enterprises for customs clearance, China Customs has actively promoted business reforms, steadily promoted new plans for import and export goods, and significantly improved the timeliness of customs clearance.

In 2019, my country will gradually exempt import and export cargo port construction fees, halve the levy of the ship oil pollution damage compensation fund, and reduce cargo port fees and port facility security fees by 20%. The annual exemption of port construction fees amounted to 15 billion yuan, and the reduction of cargo port fees and port facility security fees amounted to 960 million yuan.

China continues to streamline regulatory documents for import and export links. Currently, the regulatory documents that need to be verified in the import and export links have been reduced from 86 types in 2018 to 41 types. Except for 3 special circumstances due to security and confidentiality, the remaining 38 are all applied online.
